At Bark India Charitable Trust, every day of December 2025 reminded us why we exist — to be a voice, a shelter, and a second chance for animals who have none. Throughout the month, our rescue team responded tirelessly to emergency calls across Pondicherry. Injured strays hit by vehicles, puppies fighting severe infections, senior animals battling chronic illnesses, and voiceless souls abandoned when they needed care the most — all found hope at our doors....

Despite challenging weather in the early weeks, our rescue and veterinary teams continued working around the clock to ensure every injured, abandoned, and sick animal received the care they deserved. With our fully equipped vet hospital and experienced vet surgeon, we provided animal treatment, lifesaving surgeries, intensive care, and daily medical support for strays in need. This month, our rescue team responded to numerous emergency calls, helping animals suffering from maggot wounds, fractures, viral infections, road accidents, skin diseases, and severe malnutrition. October 2025 has been another remarkable month for Bark India Charitable Trust. As a dedicated NGO in Pondicherry, we work every day to rescue and care for stray animals. With our fully equipped veterinary hospital, we continue to offer free and subsidized veterinary treatment. Injured, abandoned, and sick animals receive essential medical care as soon as they reach us. This month, our team responded to a large number of rescue calls across Pondicherry. September Highlights: Record-Breaking Month for Animal Rescue and Care at Bark India
September was a remarkable month for Bark India Charitable Trust, marking our highest number of rescues and surgeries to date. Our dedicated team carried out 142 rescues, provided life-saving treatments, and successfully completed 100 surgeries at our veterinary hospital in Pondicherry. With the help of our volunteers and well-wishers, we organized 3 vaccination camps, administering 113 anti-rabies vaccinations to both pet and stray dogs, moving closer to our mission of a rabies-free Pondicherry. 10 years of helping strays- Support us to continue
Started in 2015, completing 10 years in helping stray animals was of so much difficulties as well as moments of happiness. From rescuing sick/ injured strays from disesases, accidents, injuries to sending them as healthy, sterilised and vaccinated happy strays- is the backup energy we reveive every day. The trust and support of our generous donors and community is the fuel to our mission and we continue to help more strays in need.
