The animal rescue centre and veterinary hospital of Bark India Charitable Trust, Pondicherry is celebrating 8 years of helping needy stray animals. Established in 18th August,2023, 6514 stray animals have been rescued,admitted and given medical care to recovery along with providing surgeries and vaccinations. Our various animal welfare Programmes include, Sick animal rescue and treatment- In which sick/injured/wounded stray animals are rescued (with public support), given admission and medical care till recovery, done sterilisation and vaccination and released back to the place where they are rescued from. December 2025: A Month of Hope, Healing & Humanity
As December draws the year to a close, we pause to reflect on a month filled with compassion, resilience, and countless lives touched through kindness. At Bark India Charitable Trust, every day of December 2025 reminded us why we exist — to be a voice, a shelter, and a second chance for animals who have none. Throughout the month, our rescue team responded tirelessly to emergency calls across Pondicherry. Injured strays hit by vehicles, puppies fighting severe infections, senior animals battling chronic illnesses, and voiceless souls abandoned when they needed care the most — all found hope at our doors....

Despite challenging weather in the early weeks, our rescue and veterinary teams continued working around the clock to ensure every injured, abandoned, and sick animal received the care they deserved. With our fully equipped vet hospital and experienced vet surgeon, we provided animal treatment, lifesaving surgeries, intensive care, and daily medical support for strays in need. This month, our rescue team responded to numerous emergency calls, helping animals suffering from maggot wounds, fractures, viral infections, road accidents, skin diseases, and severe malnutrition.
