October 2025 has been another remarkable month for Bark India Charitable Trust. As a dedicated NGO in Pondicherry, we work every day to rescue and care for stray animals. With our fully equipped veterinary hospital, we continue to offer free and subsidized veterinary treatment. Injured, abandoned, and sick animals receive essential medical care as soon as they reach us.
This month, our team responded to a large number of rescue calls across Pondicherry. Distressed animals were safely brought to our rescue centre for treatment. Many cases needed urgent medical attention. Our vets performed surgeries for fractures, deep wounds, tumors, and severe maggot wounds. They worked tirelessly to give every animal the best chance of recovery.
We also carried out routine vaccinations, deworming, and preventive care for community dogs and cats. These steps help control diseases and keep the environment safer for everyone. Our daily feeding programme continued as well. Many hungry and abandoned animals depend on these meals for their survival.
Several rescued animals found loving homes through our adoption programme this month. Every adoption reminds us that compassion can truly make a difference.
